For the first time ever in December 2020, the IB organized a virtual conference. This conference was a truly successful global experience where over 4,500 passionate educators and inspiring leaders from 110 countries around the world participated across 77 sessions under a common theme – Reimagine the future.
As a way to connect and engage participants, a series of games were programmed in which educators were scored based on their knowledge of the IB, as well as on their level of involvement with other participants, sponsors and wider conference features. One of these features included community projects in the fields of Art and Science, for which ELA teachers Manuel González and Laura Ochoa won first place. Humberto Rodríguez took second place and Adriana Santacruz took 18th! Out of a pool of 4,500 participants we are exceptionally proud of their achievements. As a prize for taking first place, Miss Laura and Manuel won a free registration to an upcoming IB conference. Humberto won a beautiful portrait by an IB Art student for his second place, whilst Miss Adriana got credit to buy educational resources for her 18th place.
