November Recap

We’ve had an activity-packed November at Escuela Lomas Altas, giving our community plenty of opportunities to congregate ahead of our winter holidays.
This month, we celebrated Mexico’s Day of the Dead, inviting students and staff members alike to partake in the time-honoured tradition of crafting ‘calaveritas’ and decorating altars. We also held our annual Pre-First Thanksgiving play and lunch, where members of the Escuela Lomas Altas community recreated their version of the first Thanksgiving dinner.
November at Escuela Lomas Altas was complete with a visit from master juggler Manos de Perro, who introduced our students to the magic of performance juggling and a visit to the newly-opened Parque Ecologico de Texcoco, where 3rd and 4th grade students learned all about our city’s biodiversity.
In the spirit of this month’s celebrations, we are very thankful for our community and the members of it who make these activities possible.
